Professional Record (W-L-D): 29-2-2, 25 KO′s
Gary "Tiger" Balletto is known in the sport of boxing as one of the best punchers, pound for pound. As the owner of a successful construction company, Balletto claims he doesn′t need to box but loves to box and has the record to prove it. A former International Boxing Union (IBU) Champion, Balletto holds a professional record of 29 wins, 25 by way of knockout, two draws and two losses.
Balletto′s love and passion for the sport extend far beyond the ring. After witnessing the death of his friend Bobby Tomasello in the ring more than five years ago, Balletto fought to help unionize the sport so fighters gain benefits, health insurance, and future jobs outside of boxing. Balletto′s story was featured in the 2005 documentary movie Sweet Dreams.
Currently, Balletto serves as the New England representative for the Joint Association of Boxers (JAB), the newly formed boxing union associated with the Teamsters. He resides in Johnston, Rhode Island with his wife Christina and his three children: 10-year-old Gary, seven-year-old Hailey and newly born Aiden.
