Norberto Bravo was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. Also known as "El Gallito" ("The Fighting Rooster"), Bravo describes himself in the ring as unrelenting and willing to fight till death if necessary.

As an amateur, Bravo competed in 130 fights and boasted an impressive 120 wins. He made his debut as a professional at age 20 and holds a record of 20 wins, 10 losses, three draws, with 12 knockouts.

Outside the ring, Bravo works in construction and devotes himself to his fiance and four children, Norberto, Jr., Jose, Mayay and Roman.
